Nuevo Vallarta Update

We had a fantastic tour of the property yesterday and want to share with you the exciting things happening on this beautiful property.

Comments:

1. North side of Buildings 3 and 4 - A lake is being constructed and will be surrounded by lush vegetation. Should be completed by mid December.
   
   
2. Spatium - Expansion is underway - to include additional sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi (possibly plural) for guests to use and relax even if one doesn't have a massage appointment.
   
   
3. "Residence Building" (previously called "Tower 5") - North side scheduled to open mid December, South side November 2015.
   
   
4. East side of Residence Building - all sorts of fun surprises.
   
   
   1. New location of golf pro shop.
   2. Golf Academy.
   3. Driving range.
   4. 19th Hole with view overlooking river.
   5. Bridge across river for access to Greg Norman Course.
   
   
   
5. New Tower 5 (not Residence Building)
   
   
   1. East of Residence Building and golf area.
   2. Will be comprised of four buildings in a butterfly shape.
   3. First building will contain 180 loft style 1 BR units (approx. 1,050 sf).
   4. Next building to the east will have 3 BR Lofts on the highest floor and 2 BR and 3 BR Residences on the lower floors.
   5. Units in the butterfly wings of the building to be determined.
   
   
   
6. Present Golf Academy and driving range and some golf holes will be relocated. Vacated property will become part of the Cirque du Soleil/Celebration area, which expands towards the highway.
   
   
7. The main entrance road to the property will be located off the main highway. This road will pass by the golf course, the River, the lake in front of Buildings 3 and 4 and end Northeast of the Santuario at the new check in/taxi/car drop off and pickup area. This new entry to the resort will be three or more times larger than the current check-in area. Guests for each resort will gather in their designated area for check-in and to be taken to their respective destination building. There will be more parking area and space for taxi pick up.
   
   
8. Greg Norman Golf Course -
   
   
   1. First nine holes open in Spring 2015.
   2. Located on South side of river.
   3. New bridge across river will be built to access the course.
   4. Paspalum grass (a warm season grass) to be used for course. Has a high salinity tolerance and can consume grey water.
   5. The area is beautiful with many native trees, lagoons (not so good for the golfers) and views of the mountains.

Tidbits:

1. Existing golf shop will become a Mexican Cantina.
   
   
2. La Plaza Building will have newly built Mayan Palace Rooms on the top floors. The third floor will have a new restaurant possibly opening by the end of the year.
   
   
3. Convention Center next to existing golf shop is designed after the ball room in the Mayan Palace that was removed. Original Mayan Palace ballroom windows and the floors have been used in the new building.
   
   
4. Cirque du Soleil/Celebration in Nuevo Vallarta to be opened in 2018, if not earlier.
   
   
5. Grand opening of Cirque du Soleil in Rivera Maya will occur on November 21, 2014.
   
   
6. And finally, yes we will have a train. New tracks will be installed, and new cement ties are now under construction. No schedules yet.
